On romance, comedy and Sister Number 4

June 30, 2009 · 7 Comments

I just finished reading two adorably sweet and romantic books.

JUST DISCOVERED! This book is second in a sequel (arghh!). The first one is called True Believer.

The second one has a boring beginning, and a heart wrenchingly sad ending. The first one is hilarious and so adorable. Love, love, love!

After I read these two books (I think I finished last night…), I decided I needed a break from romance, so I picked up a teen comedy off my shelf.

Both the same book. I’m reading the one with the first cover (cracks me up cause there’s a guy in the bottom left corner with VIRGIN written on his forehead) but I think the second cover is awesome too. Check out the poses! :D

I’m only 40 or so pages into it, but it’s hilariously funny.

My baby sister is so self obsessed. Whilst we were eating dinner, she stood on a little stool in front of the mirror and started styling her hair. Bear in mind that this child is four. Four! She tried to curl her hair with her fingers, and every time she did something new to it she would turn around to Sister Number 3 (who, I would like to mention, is her third mother. Tai is her second XD), and ask, “Did oo like it, Badi?” (Translation: did you like it, sis?)

Then she nicked an aunty’s purse (aunty was busy eating) and strutted around the room with the purse dangling on her arm like she was Vicky Beckham or something. But she looked kinda cute, I must admit. XD

And she’s fallen in love with Saeeda. She is absolutely enchanted by her, and thinks she’s amazing. Every time I call her to come talk to her, she literally runs from one end of the room to the other, and insists I put the laptop in her lap so she can see her properly (we Skype. It’s cool). Then she demands Saeeda take her glasses off so she can see her eyes better. (She is a queer child, bless her heart.)

I think it’s the beginning of a long and happy relationship. Insha’Allah.

The sun has got his hat on, hip, hip, hip hooray! The sun has got his hat on and is coming out to play! Yay, sunny weather! <3

The first thing that really made me laugh was that the coach driver put on this bollywood song for us because our school is mainly asian populated. Mustafa heard the song, laughed his head off and goes to the driver, “Good song, mate, good song!” Then the driver asked the teacher if it was suitable, and she told him to just turn it off.

Many people were upset. (But I just found it hilarious. As I do. :D )

The first ride we went on was this one that goes straight up and then straight down really fast (no idea what it’s called. Sorry, guys). There was this gorgeous view from up there, of all the beach and the town. So pretty. AND THE WATER WAS BLUE! NOT BLACK LIKE IT USUALLY IS! This made me very happy. :)

A water ride was next and omigod, did we get soaked! I was literally drenched – it was so much fun! At one point I thought the ride had broken down, but alhamdulillah it didn’t. It was just turning! Turning! I nearly had a heart attack, I was so scared! The ride went off into this freezing cold room and this boiling hot one, cooling us down and making us sweat. Fan-bloody-tastic. I wanna go ‘gainy-’gain! (That’s “again”, for those people who do not watch Teletubbies. And if you haven’t, then go on to YouTube and check them out! The little purple one is me. :D )

Th rest of the rides didn’t live up to thier reputation. Somewere so over-hyped and un-scary it was ridiculous. Devastating, really. But I got over it. Just because I could still see the sea every time we went high.

Everybody had a fabulous time, and they all looked gorgeous. We went home happy. (Well, sorta. Apparently we have to come back in to school for one more day (it’s compulsory, ugh) so they can hand out prizes and what not to random deserving students (I BETTER BE ONE OF THOSE STUDENTS!). We need to wear our uniform. This just put me off. :[)

Off to do stuff!

Oh, happy days! [Again]

June 25, 2009 · 9 Comments

School is taking us on our last trip tomorrow (I am not sure whether I should be happy or sad) and I am SO excited. The beach! It’s the beach! And it has rides! Scary ones! Yay!

Now, to those friends of mine who go to my school and read my blog: IF YOU DOES NOT COMES ON THE RIDES WITH ME, I WILLS KILLING YOU! UNDERSTANDING OR NO UNDERSTANDING? *Glares threateningly*

Now that is out of the way…yay, beach! I am going to go on ALL the big, fat, dangerous rides and laugh my head off on all the really, really scary parts (because that is what I do). I will stuff my face and read and talk and giggle on the way, and scream on all the non-exciting bits. YAAAAAAAAY, I CAN’T WAIT! :D

I am off before I puke with excitement (I think people actually do that, y’know. Do you?).

Ta ra, guys!

Love,
Falak
