Sister Number 1 is OBSESSED with music. And when I say obsessed I mean OBSESSED. If she could listen to music ALL DAY, EVERY DAY…she so would. But she can’t, because the ‘rents get mad. Plus, her main source of music was her laptop (not owning an MP3 or an iPod), and she broke that. The TV is a no-go area for music cause we always have it on the teen channels like Nick or Disney (yes, we still watch Disney. It is AMAAAAAAZING. I <3 Wizards of Waverly Place!), and there would be some veeeery angry people if she changed the channel, cause a) she’d have to do it by pressing the little buttons on the digibox since we BROKE THE REMOTE a million times, and b)changing it back would just take too long! So the Nicks and the Disneys stay on all day. Unless it’s a special occasion
A few days ago my dad got the remote fixed. We rejoiced, natch. To celebrate, Sister Number 1 stuck on the music channels. In response to my (loud) groan, she exclaimed, “You should feel sorry for me! I haven’t heard music in so long!” I did not pity her.
Tonight, the music channels came on again. My sister’s a little crazy. Whenever a song she loves comes on, she changes the channel in the middle of the chorus. Which is just plain daft, I think. Some Chipmunk song came on (WARRA NAME!) and we were in awe of the sheer CRAPPINESS of the song! It was like, “man show me da migraine skank!” And we were all, O_____o. And also: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Then she changed the channel and Beyonce’s SINGLE LADIES came on! I decided we should all mimick Beyonce and get up and DANCE! I started off. I just jumped up and tried to follow her moves. Sister Number 1 was greatly amused (her loud laughter made this quite obvious), and got up to join me. Soon after, Sister Number 2 got her butt up off the sofa and joined us, too! YAY! Sister Number 3 started yelling at us to move outta the way cause “I CAN’T SEE THE TV!” We danced on. You should have SEEN us! We were on FIRE! We just laughed and laughed and laughed cause we couldn’t keep up with Beyonce and our legs and arms were moving erratically all over the place and my little brothers were watching us and we just found it all so hilarious! Then my mum came running downstairs with a shoe and we all screamed and ran away
Ahh, great stuff!
I just wish I coulda filmed the whole thing
Love,
Falak
